I love the Huon Valley for its beauty and because people from all backgrounds are part of a community. I’ve run my own business for 30 years, designing and building sustainable homes. This has given me hands-on experience with planning and development.

On council I will aim to strengthen the communication, trust and involvement of the whole community.

My thoughts for the future of the Huon is to drive the economy through a diverse mix of characterful small businesss around wilderness, agriculture, services, local food, art and culture, boats and woodwork. This will keep the Huon as one of Tasmania’s iconic places—the perfect place to live, to visit and to enjoy.

More people are coming to the Valley and Huonville should grow as a regional centre, with more services and jobs. I’ve run my own business for 30 years designing and building homes, which has given me hands-on experience with planning and development. I have the skills, energy and ideas to prepare us for the big changes in technology and climate, and to seek the opportunities for our community’s future.
